Detroit, Michigan started 2023 with a total of 1,699 single-family homes on the market, with a median home price of $70,000 and an average price per square foot of $70. By the end of the year, inventory had increased to 1,961 homes on the market (+15%), with a median home price of $79,900 (+14%) and an average price per square foot of $78 (+11%).

At the start of 2023, the median days on market (DOM) was 77 days – by the end of the year, median DOM had remained the same at 77 days.
