Real estate boutique brokerage The Agency, on Thursday announced the launch of its new franchise office based in The Bahamas, to be led by managing director Danny Lowe.
This is the organization’s third location in the Caribbean after Turks and Caicos, and the Cayman Islands. It has 62 offices in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe.
In a statement, Mauricio Umansky, founder and CEO of The Agency, said the company is “delighted” about its expansion in the Caribbean and lauded Lowe’s leadership in bringing a “boutique approach” toward luxury real estate in the region.
Lowe was born and raised in The Bahamas, working in his family’s construction business on the islands. He specializes in luxury homes and recently led the sale of a $10 million local estate .
“The Agency Bahamas will elevate the service offered to clients and provide cutting-edge solutions to buyers and sellers across the islands, from New Providence and Paradise Island to Eleuthera, The Exumas, and beyond,” he added.
The company is expanding its business by integrating independently owned brokerages as partners, who can then access leadership, marketing, public relations training, and tech from the company.
Since 2011, The Agency has closed over $41 billion real estate transactions and ranked 21 on the 2022 RealTrends 500 by volume list.
In the statement, the organizational executive vice president of franchise sales Jim Ramsay said there is a surge in interest in companies like The Agency in the Caribbean.
Apart from the Bahamas, it has also opened independently owned agencies in Amsterdam, Toronto, and Naples, Florida, in the past year.
The California-based brokerage ranked in the top 50 firms in average sales price by sides with $2.5 million in the 2022 RealTrends 500 brokerage rankings. Three of the top five ranks in the top average sales price for firms rankings in the list by sales volume were taken up by California-based brokerage firms.
