In his book, The Advantage<\/a>,<\/em> Patrick Lencioni<\/a> insists that leaders answer these six questions in their Company Playbook:<\/p>\n

  1. Why do we exist?<\/li>\n
  2. How do we behave?<\/li>\n
  3. What do we do?<\/li>\n
  4. How will we succeed?<\/li>\n
  5. What is most important \u2014right now?<\/li>\n
  6. Who must do what?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The answers should be concise, actionable, and reviewed regularly. The Playbook should be used for all decision-making, company communications, and strategic planning. It\u2019s your go-to roadmap for developing and maintaining a thriving company culture equipped for success.<\/p>\n

    Once you have your Company Playbook, consider creating a complementary Operations Playbook, which outlines how you function internally and how you deliver your products or services. Likewise, a Sales Playbook includes your elevator pitch, customer profiles, and messaging pillars.<\/p>\n
