(The brokerage giant paid north of $80 million to acquire Pacific Union. Mark McLaughlin left Compass in 2021.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In late October 20222, McLaughlin joined Engel &amp; V\u00f6lkers, citing the firm\u2019s \u201cexpansive global network\u201d and \u201ccollaborative leadership and support\u201d as reasons for the move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Agency, which was the <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/500-by-volume\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">No. 18 brokerage<\/a> in the country by sales volume in 2022, has been rapidly expanding over the past six months, launching <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/articles\/the-agency-launches-a-second-idaho-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">eight new offices<\/a> in the first quarter of 2023
