For example, four in 10 Americans now identify as non-White, according to the latest census report. The overall U.S. homeownership rate stood at 65.8% but broken down by race, whites have a 74.4% homeownership rate, Blacks are at 45.9% and Hispanics come in at 48.6%. This will all have profound implications for our industry and for our country. In addition, the more we know about demographic groups the better we will be able to create business and policy decisions. Latinos have a median age of 30, so they are in prime homeownership years. Over the past decade, Latinos accounted for over half of the nation\u2019s population growth and over 80% of labor force growth.
