{"id":4134,"date":"2023-03-21T16:19:23","date_gmt":"2023-03-21T16:19:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/2023\/03\/21\/leadership-shake-up-occurs-at-long-foster\/"},"modified":"2025-03-13T02:50:07","modified_gmt":"2025-03-13T02:50:07","slug":"leadership-shake-up-occurs-at-long-foster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/2023\/03\/21\/leadership-shake-up-occurs-at-long-foster\/","title":{"rendered":"Leadership shake-up occurs at Long &#038; Foster"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/articles\/kamini-lane-named-new-coldwell-banker-ceo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Coldwell Banker<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/articles\/exp-realty-shakes-up-its-canadian-leadership-team\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">eXp Realty<\/a><\/strong>, there have been a quite a few executive team shake-ups over the past few months \u2014 and <strong>Long &amp; Foster Companies<\/strong> is just the latest firm to jump into the frenzy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Long &amp; Foster Companies, which is part of <strong>HomeServices of America<\/strong> and the parent company of <strong>Long &amp; Foster Real Estate<\/strong>, has named Patrick Bain as the CEO and president of Long &amp; Foster Companies and Jackie Thiel as the president of Long &amp; Foster Real Estate, according to an announcement on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPatrick and Jackie are known for their spirit of innovation and each brings an impressive amount of industry expertise and insights,\u201d Blefari wrote on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/ginoblefari_please-join-me-in-celebrating-the-newly-announced-activity-7041541719921754112-2o2z?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LinkedIn<\/a>. \u201cThey are dynamic leaders, and together with their talented agents, sales managers and dedicated staff are ready to take Long &amp; Foster to its next level of growth and success.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bain joined Long &amp; Foster in 2010 and most recently served as president of Long &amp; Foster Insurance, HomeServices Property Management, Insight Home Inspections and Long &amp; Foster\u2019s Rental Service Center.\u00a0In addition, Bain has over three decades of experience in the real estate industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an honor to lead The Long &amp; Foster Companies. We\u2019re prepared and ready to build on our organization\u2019s strong foundation, financial stability, and commitment to ensuring the success of our agents, employees, and clients, as we move forward together,\u201d Bain said in a statement. \u201cThis business is about our team of over 8,500 agents and employees, and it is a privilege to work every day with people who are so committed to our strong brand and culture.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thiel has been part of Long &amp; Foster since 1998 and has held various leadership roles, including the most recent as an executive vice president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll be listening closely to our team and leveraging their input to help define Long &amp; Foster\u2019s next chapter,\u201d Thiel said in a statement. \u201cOur exceptional real estate agents and employees are what make our company the market-leading organization it\u2019s been for over 50 years, and strengthening our company collaboration will enable us to continue providing the best service and support to both our team and area consumers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These announcements came just a day after Long &amp; Foster Companies\u2019 CEO Jeff Detwiler and Larry \u201cBoomer\u201d Foster, the president of Long &amp; Foster Real Estate, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realestatenews.com\/2023\/03\/13\/long-and-foster-ceo-brokerage-president-resign\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">resigned<\/a>. Detwiler had been with Long &amp; Foster for nearly 14 years, while Foster had been with the firm for 17 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the firm is <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/articles\/industry-veteran-wes-foster-co-founder-of-long-foster-dies-at-89\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mourning the death<\/a> of co-founder Wesley Foster, who died last Friday at the age of 89.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Patrick Bain named CEO and president of the Long &#038;
