Over at <strong>eXp<\/strong>, founder and CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/articles\/what-exps-glenn-sanford-has-up-his-sleeve-for-the-housing-market-in-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Glenn Sanford<\/a> says this means becoming more agent-centric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTo drive the next phase of eXp&#8217;s growth, we&#8217;re actually really, and one of the reasons why I came back as <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/articles\/glenn-sanford-named-as-new-ceo-of-exp-realty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CEO of eXp Realty<\/a> was to really continue our focus on the agent-centric nature of the real estate brokerage, leveraging our scale with the ultimate goal being the No. 1 worldwide real estate brokerage and brand, and we&#8217;ve done a great job so far,\u201d Sanford told investors and analysts listening to the firm\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fool.com\/earnings\/call-transcripts\/2023\/03\/01\/exp-world-expi-q4-2022-earnings-call-transcript\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fourth quarter earnings call<\/a> Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1495932\/000155837023002332\/expi-20230209xex99d1.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">In 2022<\/a>, an agent-centric approach by <strong>eXp World Holdings<\/strong>, the parent company of eXp Realty, led the firm to a 22% year-over-year uptick in revenue to $4.6 billion, a 15% yearly increase in closed transactions to 511,859 sides, and a net income of $15.42 million. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Out of the three statistics, eXp&#8217;s net income was the only one to fall year over year, dropping from $81.16 million in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that eXp\u2019s strong full-year financial results came despite revenue dropping from $1.076 billion in Q4 2021 to $933 million in Q4 2022. In addition, the number of closed transactions fell 13% year over year to 109,168, and the firm recorded a net loss of $7.2 million compared to a net income of $15.46 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While eXp expanded into six new international markets in 2022, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/articles\/exp-plans-expansion-into-new-zealand-greece-and-dominican-republic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dominican Republic, Greece, New Zealand,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/articles\/exp-realty-expands-to-third-south-american-country-chile\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chile<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/articles\/exp-realty-expands-into-poland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Poland,<\/a> executives said the North American Realty segment, which produced $4.552 billion in revenue in 2022, is the firm\u2019s overall primary driver of revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;re very, very fortunate in our business to have the North American business really driving growth and profitability.
