{"id":3735,"date":"2022-11-30T22:46:18","date_gmt":"2022-11-30T22:46:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/2022\/11\/30\/dave-smith-is-latest-executive-to-leave-keller-williams\/"},"modified":"2025-03-13T02:48:10","modified_gmt":"2025-03-13T02:48:10","slug":"dave-smith-is-latest-executive-to-leave-keller-williams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/2022\/11\/30\/dave-smith-is-latest-executive-to-leave-keller-williams\/","title":{"rendered":"Dave Smith is latest executive to leave Keller Williams"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Keller Williams&#8217; top mortgage executive has left the firm to &#8220;pursue other career opportunities,&#8221; executive chairman Gary Keller told staffers on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dave Smith, who joined Keller Williams in <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.housingwire.com\/articles\/keller-williams-kwx-announces-new-executive-team\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">March 2021<\/a>, had served as president of <strong>Keller Home Financial Services <\/strong>and was tasked with strengthening <strong>Keller Mortgage<\/strong> and the firm\u2019s insurance services provider <strong>Keller Covered<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDuring Dave\u2019s tenure with the company, he played a key role in building out the Keller Mortgage leadership team which will continue to lead the organization,\u201d Keller wrote. \u201cWe thank Dave and wish him well in his future endeavors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The housing market environment throughout Smith\u2019s tenure at the firm has been rather volatile, as mortgage rates have skyrocketed over the course of year, hitting some of their <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.housingwire.com\/articles\/surging-mortgage-rates-prompt-borrowers-to-leave-no-stone-unturned\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">highest levels in decades this fall<\/a>. This has led to a major slowdown in loan origination volume and refinance volume.
