{"id":3223,"date":"2022-06-15T10:27:32","date_gmt":"2022-06-15T10:27:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/2022\/06\/15\/2022-americas-best-sees-boom-with-23957-agents-and-teams-qualifying\/"},"modified":"2025-03-13T02:44:05","modified_gmt":"2025-03-13T02:44:05","slug":"2022-americas-best-sees-boom-with-23957-agents-and-teams-qualifying","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/2022\/06\/15\/2022-americas-best-sees-boom-with-23957-agents-and-teams-qualifying\/","title":{"rendered":"2022 America&#8217;s Best sees boom with 23,957 agents and teams qualifying"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The country\u2019s top individual agents, like their peers who operate <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/articles\/realtrends-500-historic-rise-in-market-share-compass-homeservices-realogybrokeragegroup-exp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">leading brokerage firms<\/a>, recorded an incredible year in 2021.&nbsp;In fact, in our 15 years of tracking the top individual agents and teams, we&#8217;ve never seen a one year jump like we did from 2020 to 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/americas-best\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RealTrends + Tom Ferry America&#8217;s Best Real Estate Professionals<\/a> must meet minimum production thresholds:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An Individual Agent must close 50 residential transaction sides OR $20 million in closed sales volume<\/li><li>A Team must close 75 residential transaction sides OR $30 million in closed sales volume<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>America&#8217;s Best Real Estate Professionals includes those named in The Thousand plus the next level of top producer. Rankings are sorted by state for America&#8217;s Best. All data is based on 2021 numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-number-of-qualified-agents-and-teams-see-157-jump\">Number of qualified agents and teams see 157% jump<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of leading individual agents who qualified <strong>exploded by 157%<\/strong> to 13,672 up from 5,316 in 2020. They grew their total closings to 641,522 closed transactions and their total $465 billion in closed sales volume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leading teams who qualified grew to 10,285 up 62.2%; they grew their total closed transactions to more than 1.2 million; total closed sales volume grew to $707.6 billion in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, the number of top individuals and teams grew from 18,400 to 23,957 in one year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A few other interesting notes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Counting all individual agents, and all the Realtors\u00ae on the teams, there were a total of nearly 72,922 which represents roughly 4.6% of the estimated 1.6 million Realtors in the country.
