Two powerhouse independents \u2014 Howard Hanna Real Estate<\/strong> Services<\/strong>, ranked No. 5 by transaction sides in the RealTrends 500 brokerage rankings<\/a> and HER Realtors<\/strong>, No. 48 by sides \u2014 merged, adding about 1,200 agents and 90 offices to Hanna’s portfolio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This merger expands Hanna’s footprint in Ohio, Michigan, and northern Kentucky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1956 by Harley E. Rouda, Sr., HER Realtors, the company closed out 2021 with 11,924 transaction sides and $3.3 billion in closed sales volume, according to RealTrends. In Ohio, the firm is the independent leader in the combined Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dayton markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, Howard Hanna was founded in 1957 by Howard Hanna, Jr. and has evolved through the decades to become the largest independently owned brokerage firm in the United States. Both organizations were built and operated as family companies with strong values and respect for their agents, employees, and clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are excited to welcome HER Realtors to the Hanna Family of Companies,\u201d said Helen Hanna Casey, Chief Executive Officer of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services in a press release. \u201cThe cultural and operational synergies between our companies, paired with our mutual respect for one another, makes this merger an important step toward the future as we expand our presence and service offerings in the greater Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dayton markets.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This merger beefs up Hanna’s presence in Ohio. In a statement, Shawn Adams, president of HER Realtors said, \u201cWe believe this is a great opportunity for our agents \u2013 and we want to spend the next part of our career with the Hannas. It\u2019s not only the resources we gain in tools and technology, but this opportunity will allow us to continue to grow with our local leadership and support staff \u2013 and have the addition of more benefits and more offerings for our agents.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
