{"id":2995,"date":"2022-04-04T15:52:32","date_gmt":"2022-04-04T15:52:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/2022\/04\/04\/showingtime-launches-real-time-tour-availability-feature\/"},"modified":"2025-03-13T02:41:16","modified_gmt":"2025-03-13T02:41:16","slug":"showingtime-launches-real-time-tour-availability-feature","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/2022\/04\/04\/showingtime-launches-real-time-tour-availability-feature\/","title":{"rendered":"ShowingTime launches real-time tour availability feature"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>ShowingTime<\/strong> has launched a new feature, allowing home buyers and sellers, as well as their real estate agents and brokers, to see real-time data on home tour availability on a property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new feature is currently available in the Dallas, Houston, Denver and Atlanta markets, but will roll out nationally later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Agents and brokers will be able to include the feature on their websites through ShowingTime\u2019s application programming interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By displaying tour times in real time agents will be able to know what is available for their clients, cutting down on the chaos of trying to book a home tour in today\u2019s incredibly competitive housing market. The feature also helps sellers, as they have access to real-time data of when their home is being toured. ShowingTime says that this feature will be incredibly useful in the upcoming busy <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/a-spring-thursday-is-the-best-time-to-list-a-home%ef%bf%bc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">spring and summer housing markets.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBack-and-forth conversations about tour availability and scheduling hassles are time consuming and a potential deal killer in today\u2019s fast-paced market,\u201d Michael Lane, the vice president and general manager of ShowingTime, said in a statement. \u201cThis new feature\u2019s functionality has long been sought in the industry because it helps everyone involved in a transaction \u2014 buyers, sellers and agents \u2014 by making it crystal clear<em>\u00a0<\/em>when a home is available to tour, more quickly and easily getting buyers into the homes they want to see.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zillow.com\/research\/february-2022-market-report-30843\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">According to <strong>Zillow<\/strong><\/a>, typical listings in February lasted just 11 days before a seller accepted an offer. In addition, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zillow.com\/research\/buyers-consumer-housing-trends-report-2021-30039\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zillow survey<\/a> found that the number of home tours that a typical buyer takes in on the rise.
