The nation\u2019s second largest multiple listing service, Bright MLS<\/strong>, announced Wednesday<\/a> that it is welcoming Amit Kulkarni to the company\u2019s C-suite, as its new chief marketing officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kulkarni will lead marketing and brand strategies for the company, which has over 98,000 subscribers across six states in the Mid-Atlantic region and Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to welcome Amit during this remarkable time on the company\u2019s journey,\u201d Brian Donnellan, the president and CEO of Bright MLS, said in a statement. \u201cHis vision and in-depth understanding of the enterprise real estate landscape will be invaluable as we continue to lead the transformation of multiple listing service technology for the digital age.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Bright, Kulkarni has over two decades of experience leading marking, creative and brand teams. Prior to joining Bright, Kulkarni led the brand team at Realtor.com<\/strong>. During his tenure there he grew the site\u2019s audience from 12 million monthly unique users (UUs) to over 100 million monthly UUs today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bright recently made headlines when it announced<\/a> that it did not renew its agreement with Remine<\/strong>. Due to this, starting April 1, subscribers will no longer have complimentary access to Remine or Remine Pro. This service had been a free member benefit since October 2019. The company did announce, however, that it would continue offering Remine\u2019s transaction management product, Docs+, to its subscribers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this year, Bright announced<\/a> that it had signed an agreement with California Regional MLS <\/strong>(CRMLS), the nation\u2019s largest multiple listing service, to collaborate on technology solutions. The MLSs have agreed to share data and are working to identify ways they can eliminate redundant technologies and work to improve the user experience by creating a customer-facing website for both organizations.
