It depends on whether you are an on-demand or in-demand sales associate.\u00a0 Here\u2019s the difference:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On-Demand Associate:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Is perceived by the buyer as providing a service, such as ordering an Uber.<\/li><li>Both the associate and the buyer have a simple transaction focus.<\/li><li>Associate and buyer do not have a strong relationship \u2013 may not even know each other.<\/li><li>Associate tends to work primarily with strangers and may generate business by buying leads.<\/li><li>Associate has not articulated their value proposition to the buyer.<\/li><li>Associate works on the buyer\u2019s schedule as on-demand.<\/li><li>Associate is coming from scarcity and needs the transaction.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In-Demand Associate:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Is perceived as a trusted advisor in addition to a service provider<\/li><li>Associate and buyer have a strong relationship.<\/li><li>Associate brings such value to the relationship and the transaction that it would be unthinkable for the buyer to do the transaction without the in-demand associate.<\/li><li>Associate\u2019s level of service and advice is so invaluable that the buyer is willing to fit into the associate\u2019s schedule.\u00a0<\/li><li>Associate is coming from abundance.\u00a0They have a system that generates a continuous flow of buyers and sellers so they don\u2019t need the transaction and can refer the buyer to another associate if necessary.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In my experience, on-demand associates tend to burn out in their careers as well as burn up their families and their health.\u00a0To build a happy, prosperous, long-term career, become the in-demand associate.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-do-you-do-that\">How do you do that?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Start with a relationship focus versus a transaction focus.\u00a0<\/li><li>Take great care of your customer\/client during and AFTER the transaction. \u00a0<\/li><li>Stay in flow with them at least 3 times a month via mail and email and at least once a quarter live.<\/li><li>Become invaluable to them.\u00a0 <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Christy Budnick, CEO of the global <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.realtrends.com\/blog\/realtrending-podcast-gino-blefari-homeservices-of-america-changing-strategy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices<\/a> franchise network puts it this way, \u201cValue is defined in most dictionaries as meaning useful or describing something of worth.\u00a0Invaluable, on the other hand, is defined as indispensable, priceless, precious, and valuable beyond estimation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Invaluability, or value beyond estimation, leading to indispensability, is when a real estate professional \u2013 through their remarkable negotiating, staging, remodeling, social media, merchandising, creativity, innovation and high-impact communication skills \u2013 is now viewed as not merely an effective facilitator of transactions, but as a real estate trusted advisor.\u201d\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you become invaluable to your clients and friends, you will have all the business you want and you will do it on your schedule.\u00a0You are the in-demand real estate professional.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Have you ever struggled with work\/life balance?\u00a0What do you do?\u00a0 It depends on whether you are an on-demand or in-demand sales associate.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":15802,"featured_media":4822,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3255],"tags":[],"coauthors":[54],"class_list":["post-2419","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-archive"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.4 (Yoast SEO v26.8) - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-premium-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Are you an on-demand agent or in-demand agent?
