The recent release of the FHA\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hud.gov\/sites\/dfiles\/Housing\/documents\/2018fhaannualreportMMIFund.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">annual report<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hud.gov\/press\/press_releases_media_advisories\/HUD_No_18_145\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">increase in FHA loan limits<\/a>&nbsp;makes it a good time to assess the program\u2019s health.<\/p>\n<p>In fulfilling its mission to help more Americans reach homeownership, the FHA tends to insure riskier mortgages.
